My Goals ~

I will meet you where you are, individualizing your therapy by using a variety of tools & techniques. We will establish goals together, based on your challenges and what you want to change in your life.

Services ~

In New Jersey, I provide individual therapy online (aka telemental health) via a HIPAA secure platform. This means I have taken very strict measures to ensure our communication is private. In the near future, I hope to provide telemental health in other states, as well as in-person therapy, so stay tuned for updates. I also have a blog, which is loaded with helpful info. My Style ~

I prefer to think of myself as a guide or mentor who is accompanying you on your journey. Even though I bring extensive professional training and experience to this therapeutic relationship, you are the real expert in your life. I deeply respect that. However, I can help you look at things in a deeper, more meaningful way & provide you with the support and validation you need to help you make changes.

My specialty, as well as my passion, is working with women and teenage girls. However, I am open to working with other individuals on a case-by-case basis. Please feel free to contact me so we can chat and see if I would be a good fit for you.

A few of the helpful tools & techniques I use ~

Person Centered or Rogerian therapy ~

a non-authoritative approach in which the client takes the lead and the therapist is a compassionate, empathetic facilitator, who listens without judgment. 

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) ~

explores the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and perceptions and how they can influence your behavior. The idea is that you can change your thoughts, which will directly change your feelings and how you perceive the world. Once you fully understand this, it will change your life!

Mindfulness ~

a meditation technique to help you learn to be more fully present in each moment.

Motivational Interviewing (MI) ~

Motivational interviewing is a counseling method that helps people resolve ambivalent feelings and insecurities to find the internal motivation they need to change their behavior. It is a practical, empathetic, and short-term process that takes into consideration how difficult it is to make life changes.

Payment ~

  • I accept insurance (BCBS, Cigna, QualCare,), check, and credit card.

  • An intake is $145.

  • $85- per individual session. 

Remember ~

  • You will reap greater benefit from therapy if you practice the skills you learn on a regular basis. 

  • You have to be willing to change in order for therapy to work. Yes, it’s scary and uncomfortable, but I am here for you!

  • If I can’t help you or we are not a good fit, I will be more than happy to refer you to someone else.
